Issue No. 02 / The Lovingly Overbuilt EditionPublic work · Private life · Sensible velvet ropes

The project edition / Ceremonial lights on

The collected works of a man who keeps
accidentally starting worlds.

Films, playable worlds, prototypes, photography, and analysis—arranged with the ceremonial seriousness of a small museum and enough self-awareness to leave the marble bust uncommissioned.

Concept visualization for Galactic Voxel Wars
Concept visualization · Not gameplayStrategy at civilization scale, because one planet apparently seemed like a reasonable minimum.

Dispatch desk / Active, finished, and accurately labeled

Built, building
& released.

Active work sits beside finished releases. Every status says what exists, what remains unfinished, and what shipped—because even a shrine needs honest museum placards.

Practice 01 / Playable systems

Interactive
worlds

Worlds built through rules, movement, atmosphere, iteration, and the ancient ritual of changing one value until it behaves.

The Matrix
Rebooted

The complete creative undertaking—not merely NYC Ride, though NYC Ride has clearly developed its own gravitational field.

The Matrix Impossible was published in 2024 as five Half-Life: Alyx Workshop packages. The Matrix Rebooted is the continuing umbrella for the Source 2 worlds and systems growing from them. The Workshop listing is not currently publicly downloadable while the next update is in development.

The Construct

The playable opening package and the current wormhole and transition work.

02

Sydney & the lobby

Street level, subway transition, campaign credits, and lobby combat.

03

Rooftop & helicopter

Bullet-dodge staging, minigun flight, and the helicopter finale.

04

Dojo & training

Two training maps built around close combat and movement practice.

05

Rebooted development

NYC Ride, interfaces, handoffs, models, materials, lighting, sound, and tools.

Project desk / Honest status included · Grand ideas still require release notes

Released work.
Active prototypes.

Each project is labeled for what it is now—not what it may become. Grandeur is encouraged; imaginary completion dates are not.

01

Galactic Voxel Wars

The current lite-mode build demonstrates a chunked planet and autonomous colony sandbox. The larger journey from settlement to interplanetary strategy remains the roadmap.

BullsEye

A stylized crime, action, and comedy feature set in 1935, built across writing, directing, production, cinematography, editing, casting, and visual effects.

03

Standalone conversion

A C++20 and DirectX 12 runtime prototype advancing the architecture needed to move beyond the original mod, without presenting the world conversion as complete.

Playable studies / Earlier proofs

Three focused machines for learning by building—and evidence that the larger machines were not an isolated incident.

Hardline Rescue prototype

Hardline Rescue

Helicopter rescue, momentum, cable strain, and pendulum control.

Rooftop Stickfight prototype

Rooftop Stickfight

A touch-friendly combat study for pose, timing, hit reactions, and staging.

Nebuchadnezzar Sewer Run prototype

Nebuchadnezzar Sewer Run

Procedural tunnels, heat, noise, silent running, Sentinel pressure, and EMP timing.

Systems & tools / Platform boundaries clearly marked

Every tool gets its own plaque.
Especially the BI platforms.

IBM Cognos Analytics, Amazon QuickSight, and Apache Superset are three distinct business-intelligence platforms. SQL and Python are shared foundations used across them—not parts of Cognos.

Enterprise BI platform

IBM Cognos Analytics

Framework Manager, governed metadata models, report authoring, administration, validation, documentation, and training.

Cloud BI platform

Amazon QuickSight

Datasets, calculated fields, dashboards, interactive analysis, publishing, permissions, and embedded analytics.

Open-source BI platform

Apache Superset

SQL-driven exploration, semantic datasets, charts, dashboards, filters, and open-source deployment.

Shared foundations

SQL & Python

Data access, transformation, validation, automation, analysis, and the connective tissue shared across BI platforms.

Source 2 production

Worlds that can answer back

Hammer, VScript, Panorama, scripted transitions, materials, lighting, sound, particles, models, and package handoffs. Sometimes the scene needs a system. Sometimes the system needs its own system.

Native runtime

Standalone architecture

C++20, DirectX 12, Vulkan, asset packages, simulation, input, render validation, and evidence-driven milestone gates.

World generation

Procedural structure

Voxel terrain, roads, districts, agents, colony systems, OpenStreetMap-derived geometry, and repeatable export checks.

Working utilities

Tools built because they were missing

Fluency Loop, Source 2 Mod Analyzer, QuickSight GPT, deployment helpers, production scripts, and project-local automation. When the missing tool becomes obvious, the complaint tends to become another prototype.

Photography / Selected frames

The world,
kept in frames.

Landscape, wildlife, macro, water, and natural-history studies—proof that the curator occasionally looks away from a viewport.

across media.

BullsEye is an 85-minute independent feature—and a persuasive argument against ever saying “I'll just make a movie” casually.

The wider archive includes Scarlet Knight / Atlantic Crossing documentary work, narrative shorts, directing and camera reels, and CGI studies.

Return when the projects move.
They have a habit of doing that.

Build status, new images, released work, analysis, and technical evidence will change as the archive grows—often while everyone is looking directly at it.
