How this edition works
Scope
This edition follows the 66-book Protestant canon because that is the canon of the selected World English Bible edition. Jewish, Catholic, Orthodox, and other Christian traditions order or include books differently. Those differences are acknowledged; they are not erased.
The goal is a complete, readable edition of this canon, with a clear boundary between the biblical text and the modern guide surrounding it.
The reading column reproduces the Protestant Edition of the World English Bible from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21. It is public domain, and its wording is kept separate from every note written for this site.
Every one of the 31,103 WEBP verse records receives its own expandable study: contemporary wording, exact clause quotes and roles, uncommon-word help, literary and cultural context, open translator notes, and a visible uncertainty ledger. Five retained verse numbers contain no WEBP wording; those are explained as textual-history questions rather than silently filled in.
The reader divides all 1,189 chapters into 8,758 gap-free passage units using the official WEBP USFM structure. Every unit receives a plain-language explanation, literary role, evidence-labeled context, five qualified interpretive readings, cautions, and concrete questions. They are original reading aids, not additions to the biblical text or a claim that one interpretation has won.
Place markers come from verse-linked gazetteer evidence. Every marker carries a confidence level. Dashed movement connectors appear only when an exact passage contains supported endpoints and explicit travel language; they are schematic reading aids, never invented ancient roads. Disputed identifications remain alternatives, symbolic geography stays symbolic, and chapters without defensible geography say so.
Every chapter receives a full editorial composition, and every one of the 8,758 passage units receives its own stable crop, palette, motif, path, keywords, and reading identity. Genesis now adds fifty original six-panel chapter comic pages—three hundred new illustrated beats—on top of the thirty-four-plate book-aware library. The remaining books still use the original family and story plates while their dedicated comic pages are produced; no artwork is presented as archaeological proof or certainty about every visual detail.

Editorial promise
Miracle, theology, literary symbolism, tradition, archaeology, and recoverable geography are not collapsed into one category. A beautiful picture can invite attention. It cannot manufacture certainty.
